Ravindra Jadeja Hits Six Sixes in an Over in Inter-District Match

India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has joined an elite list of cricketers after he hit six sixes in an over during an inter-district T20 match between Jamnagar and Amreli at the Saurashtra Cricket Association stadium. The left handed batsman who turned out for Jamnagar district, smashed 154 off just 69 deliveries to help his team post a 239/6 in 20 overs.

Jadeja began taking the bowlers to task in the 10th over, and in the 15th he topped off by hitting six sixes off the bowling of Nilam Vamja. During his belligerent knock, Jadeja smashed 10 sixes and 15 fours.

During the chase which was undoubtedly very tough, Amreli managed only 118/5 in their quota of overs. Vishal Vasoya scored 36 while Nilam Vamja made 32 runs. For Jamnagar, Mahendra Jethva was the pick of the bowlers as he took 3 wickets in 4 overs and gave away just 6 runs.

Jamnagar, which rode on Jadeja’s century on their way to a huge 121 run win, also saw the bowlers do extremely well. Mahendra Jethva took 3 wickets in 4 overs and gave away just 6 runs.

While Jadeja’s knock is only in an inter-district tourney, it will do his confidence a world of good since he has not been featuring in the one-day set-up of the national side.
