Battle of Saragarhi seems to be the one thing every director and flick makers is suddenly interested in. As many as three flicks and a television series is being made on the historic 1897 saragarhi battle. While Akshay Kumar revealed the first look from his film Kesari on Friday, actor Mohit Raina also didn’t take too much time to share his from upcoming series 21 Sarfarosh: Saragarhi 1897.
Much like AKumar, Mohit Raina is also seen in a khaki uniform and a heavy turban. Akumar plays Havildar Ishar Singh, of the British Indian Army, who led a contingent 21 soldiers to fight against the 10,000 Pashtun Orakzai tribesmen of Afghanistan. The fight, in the North-West Frontier Province, led to the death of all 21 soldiers but is now called one of the greatest stories of bravery in Indian military.
The intense first look sees Akshay donning long beard and mustache in which he is looking ferocious. AKumar took to Social Media to reveal the look for the flick as well and wrote, “Feeling nothing but enormous pride and gratitude while sharing this”.
It seems as if it is definitely going to be an awesome year for Bollywood Hero AKumar as he will be coming with quite a number of flicks this year. Akshay Kumar’s next flick Kesari, a flick that he will be co-producing with Karan Johar, is based on the battle of Saragarhi 1897. A few songs from the film like Hu Ba Hu and Aaj Se Teri have been revealed by the makers and the audience are already loving them. In October 2017, Karan Johar had made a blockbuster first announcement of his much-awaited flick in collaboration with Akshay Kumar.
“Need your best wishes as always (sic)”. The Thalaiva Rajinikanth and Hindi actor AKumar starrer 2.0 has been in the news since it was announced. Randeep Hooda is also working on a flick on the same subject and it is called Battle of Saragarhi. He captioned it as, “Feeling nothing but vast pride and gratitude while sharing this”. The actor has started shooting for his most talked about flick Kesari in which he will be playing the role of Havildar Ishar Singh.
